Have you ever been sitting in a rather dull meeting or conference and the speaker finally gets to the end of their spiel... and asks "Are there any questions?"
Have you ever wanted to ask: "If the 10:30 leaves Birmingham New Street on time and travels an average of 36 miles per hour bound for London, and the 11:00 fast train to Birmingham leaves Euston as scheduled averaging 54 miles per hour, What time will they meet if Birmingham is 108 miles away from London?"
Well, now you can.
By the way, the answer is "Noon".
EDIT: Thanks to my anorak buddy Andy, the tube trip trip between Kings Cross and Euston wasn't initially included in the average speed calulation given :)
